Part-ilha is a moment in an ongoing conversation between artists based in Bristol and Portugal supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation. It is also the umbrella title for a series of exhibitions & events by invited Portuguese artists.
These include: a group show in Gallery 2 - A River Ain’t Too Much To Love selected by Isabel Ribeiro, André Romão, Gonçalo Sena; Substance - a programme of films in the Perimeter Space curated by the Portuguese Video Art Archive/Margarida Mendes; an off-site project by Carla Cruz; live performances by Isabel Carvalho and Mauro Cerqueira and an Artists’ Book & Zine Fair which includes the launch of a new publication by Braço de Ferro who will work in residence at new artist led space, Rhys & Hannah Present.
